Technician/Mechanical Aptitude- An avid Do-It-Yourself-er, Ed has a passion for all things automotive. Additionally, past experiences as a Service Writer, Service Manager, and active member of the ATA's Truck Maintenance Council give him perspective and relatability.
Driver- Ed will never claim to be a professional driver, that honor is deserved by the dedicated professionals that do the work every day. He does have a Class A CDL, and has driven commercial vehicles as part of his work for the past 30 years. Coming from a family of professional truck drivers, he realizes the value of the driver being appreciated, and ensuring their work tool is designed thoughtfully for them.
Procurement and Fleet Disposal- Ed has purchased thousands of fleet vehicles through his career. He has the relationships and knowledge to make sure his clients get the best deal.
Analyst- Ed has earned his MBA from the University of Scranton. He enjoys data analysis and interpretation. But that alone can't satisfy him. Using the data for marked action is the true reward.
Compliance and Risk- Ed is up to date and has completed numerous driver and transportation regulation training classes. Ed is an active member of the National Truck Equipment Association (also Board Member), American Trucking Association, and the National Fleet Management Association (CAFM). He has first hand experience navigating Federal DOT Audits, State Fuel Tax Audits, and is experienced in leading support and direction though vehicle accident litigation.
Project Management- Ed has implemented dozens of productivity improvement projects and saved his employers millions of dollars. He knows the process and how to be accountable.
Executive- As President/CEO of an Alternative Fuel startup company, he has led a workforce through product development, sales and marketing structure, regulatory compliance, and after sales support/service network development. Key financial principles of managing product margins, operating expenses, R&D budgets, inventory turns, an delivering EBITDA are all in his DNA.
